The Elephant Sanctuary & Hartbeespoort Dam

The Elephant Sanctuary is situated just outside the town of Hartbeespoort and affords guests with the once in a lifetime opportunity of getting up close and personal with the majestic African Elephant. Highly qualified guides will talk about the anatomy and physiology of the animals before giving you the chance to walk trunk-in-hand with the elephants. Pilanesberg National Park

All trips include introductory lectures covering biological and bio geographical aspects of reptile & amphibian conservation, active searching for herps in the field, as well as a closing discussion.

Maropeng & The Sterkfontein Caves

The Maropeng Visitor Centre is an exciting world-class exhibition focusing on the development of humans and our ancestors over the past few million years, and has recently been accredited with World Heritage Site status. A full day trip takes you along a guided journey through the  Visitors Centre before delving into the depths of the Sterkfontein Caves, where scientists discovered many hominid and animal fossils dating back more than 4 million years. Round of the day at a traditional craft market and dinner at an African themed restaurant.
