About the Lodge
On the edge of a small stream in the heart of the Madikwe Game Reserve you will find Jaci’s Safari Lodge. Established in 2000, this lodge features eight luxurious rooms with large mosaic bath, outdoor shower and private deck, from which to watch warthogs rolling in the mud or tree squirrels darting through foliage. The main lounge, with its views out across the stream, is where breakfast, lunch and high tea are served. For those in need of a little refreshment after a long day of game viewing, the loft bar offers guests another space in which to unwind.
Accommodation
All rooms are equipped with underfloor heating and fireplaces to ensure that you are comfortable during the chilly winter months, and air conditioning and a ceiling fan to keep you cool during sunburnt summer days. With thatch roofs, low stone walls and canvas panels that roll up, the lodges really let the outside in, making for a unique African bushveld experience from the luxury of your room.
The Safari Lodge has been decorated with vibrant colours and African textures, and features a central lounge with couches that call on you to sprawl out with a good book and ice cold drink. While the hours away watching the diverse birdlife that can be found around the camp. Safari Suite (ideal for families)
For families looking for a more intimate bush experience, the well-appointed Safari Suite is the perfect venue. This suite can sleep up to four adults and four children, and includes all the features of Jaci’s Safari Lodge.Guests staying at the Safari Suite have their own private splash pool, flanked by a deck and loungers on which to soak up the sunshine, as well as a small lounge in which to relax after a long day in the bush.
Nare Suite
The Nare Suite is an exclusive bush retreat, named after the resident buffalo bull who frequents the waterhole in front of it, that can accommodate up to six guests at one time.The suite comes equipped with open plan bathrooms, each kitted with a handmade rock bath and outdoor safari shower. The upstairs loft, which has its own toilet, is ideal for children. The suite also has a wooden viewing deck which overlooks the waterhole, on which you can kick back and let the game come to you.
Each suite also has a private swimming pool, as well as a private game vehicle and professional guide to ensure that you have a bush breakaway that you will remember for years to come. In addition, the lounge and outdoor dining area is equipped with a self-contained kitchen, where the chefs can prepare meals for you in privacy, should you so desire.
Activities
Jaci’s Lodges’ rates include meals and two game activities per day, as well as tea and coffee. The following are excluded: all drinks, laundry, curio purchases, office services, gratuities, etc.
